Tonight was the fourth week that the cousin/roomie/coworker and I drove to Agritopia in Gilbert, Arizona where a couple food trucks line the lane outside of The Coffee Shop (which, by the way, has the BEST mocha around) from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesdays.

So far, not one food truck has disappointed. If you ever find yourself in Gilbert on a Wednesday, I recommend stopping by for a yummy meal.

Here's what I've had so far:

Week One
The Grilled Cheese Truck

ORDERED
Goat Cheese Melt (on Nine-Grain Bread) - Herbed goat cheese with roasted butternut squash, cranberry-pear relish, and spiced pecans

REVIEW
If a dish has butternut squash, it's usually what I'll pick from any menu. This sandwich was incredibly sweet and creamy, but the bread was a little too burnt for my taste. I'd eat here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Week Two
Waffle Crush

ORDERED
Berry - Waffle topped with Biscoff, strawberries & cream

REVIEW
This was hands down the BEST waffle I've ever had. The waffle itself tasted like a churro (but thicker). & I'd never tasted Biscoff prior to this meal, but now know it as delicious sweet syrupy goodness. The strawberries and cream just topped it off as one luscious meal. So far this food truck is my favorite. P.S. I think Waffle Crush wins the prize of cutest food truck.

Week Three
Q UP! BBQ

ORDERED
Gangsta Grilled Cheese Sandwich - Mesquite slow smoked beef brisket topped with bacony mac-n-cheese and Q UP! BBQ sauce on toasted cheesy sourdough.

REVIEW
This meal was intense, as it was paired with Q UP! Totally Loaded Fries that my uncle shared with the table. If I went here again, I'd just order the fries. They had the best seasoning. As for the sandwich, it was cheese overload and I would have preferred a more equal cheese to brisket ratio. But overall, it was quite tasty.

Week Four (tonight!)
Luncha Libra

ORDERED
Steak & Bleu - Perfectly seasoned carne asada, bleu cheese and pico de gallo

REVIEW
This was the tastiest quesadilla I've ever had. Which is saying something, as I've lived in Arizona for 25 years and have had my fair share of quesadillas. The meat and cheese were perfect and I'd definitely go back. Second favorite food truck (after Waffle Crush) so far.
